The quartet, ”Going Up,” formed in the Spring of 2004 and still has 3 of it’s original members. They are tenor, Sheila Calvert, the baritone, Laurie Ports and the bass, Bev Bruening. Just this past winter, in November of 2010, they added their new lead, Kay O’Hara. The members of “Going Up” enjoy singing at chorus singouts and the various chorus shows. The name of the quartet was chosen after original members were singing in an elevator in OC that failed to move until someone in the lobby pushed a button. The door opened and the person said “Going Up”.
